Founded in 1949 and located in the heart of Tokyo, Nishimachi International School has been providing innovative educational excellence for over 75 years to students in Kindergarten through Grade 9. The school has a strong reputation for educating students of all nationalities, cultures and backgrounds to be globally minded, independent thinkers.

Nishimachi provides children with an education in English and a minimum of one lesson per day in Japanese, which seeks to develop international perspective and understanding. Working with a dedicated faculty and staff, Nishimachi students benefit from the school’s rigorous curriculum, close-knit community and interactions with the vibrant culture. The school year is divided into two academic semesters, beginning in late August and ending in June. In addition to the regular school day, after school activities and sports are offered.
