School Information

Laurus International School is Japan’s only Science International School, dedicated to nurturing innovators who will create a better future. Focused on STEM education (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics), the school provides practical learning experiences that foster curiosity and creativity. Entrepreneurial education is also integrated, empowering students to tackle social issues and develop their own solutions.

In both the elementary and secondary divisions, all teachers hold teaching lisences, and classes are taught by highly qualified educators recruited from Japan and abroad. Specialist subjects—such as Science, Engineering & Technology, Mathematics, Physical Education, Music, and Art—are taught by dedicated subject teachers with expertise in their respective fields.

The curriculum is built on two pillars: the globally recognised Cambridge International Curriculum, which develops academic foundations to world standards, and Laurus’ original Innovator Curriculum, designed to strengthen problem-solving and creativity. Students gain both solid fundamentals and applied skills in a balanced way.

In the entrepreneurial programme, students research and experiment on social challenges, create prototypes, and present their results to classmates and parents at school events. They also have opportunities to present to external judges, gaining valuable exposure to real-world perspectives.

These cumulative experiences not only support students’ future aspirations but are also highly regarded as extracurricular achievements when applying to universities abroad.
