Founded in 1902, The American School in Japan welcomes over 1,700 students from 60 countries. ASIJ’s Early Learning Center in Roppongi Hills (nursery through kindergarten) features a Reggio-inspired curriculum. At ASIJ’s Chofu campus (kindergarten through grade 12), students learn in state-of-the-art facilities and benefit from extensive performing arts and athletics programs, as well as over 170 co-curricular activities. A rigorous curriculum offers over 22 Advanced Placement courses in high school and access to collaborative online courses through Global Online Academy and college-level courses through Syracuse University Project Advance (SUPA). Graduates matriculate to leading universities in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, and Japan.

All applicants must reside in Tokyo with their parents during their attendance at ASIJ. All non-Japanese students must be on a dependent visa under their parent(s). All applicants must have one parent who speaks, reads, and writes fluent English.
